| Who is South Hook LNG Qatar 
		Petroleum was established in 
		1974 as a national corporation completely owned by the State of Qatar. 
		Qatar Petroleum is responsible for all oil and gas industry processes in 
		Qatar.
 
  
 Exxon Mobil Corporation operates in some 200 countries and 
		territories world-wide. The company is best known in the UK for its Esso 
		and Mobil brands.
 Qatar is an independent state of 
		some 0.8 million inhabitants situated on the southern shore of the 
		Arabian Gulf. It gained its independence from the UK in 1971. It covers 
		an area of some 11.4 thousand square kilometers. The LNG planned to be shipped to 
		South Hook will come from a reservoir called the North Field which is 
		located off the coast of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf. This is the largest 
		discovered gas field in the world. To give some idea of its size, the 
		currently estimated proven reserves would meet existing UK natural gas 
		demand for almost 250 years. |
