<>Llanion Junction
gets a clean

To coincide with the nationwide awareness
raising ‘Tidy Wales Week’ Pembroke Dock’s Young Fire fighters swapped
their hoses for litter-pickers as they tackled accumulated fly-tipping
along the cycle track and railway line behind Bush Camp in Pembroke
Dock.
In a little over an hour, around 18 bags of
rubbish had been collected under the auspices of the Pride in Our
Communities project
Network Rail cleared some of the large items that had been dumped over
the fence along the railway track. Keep Wales Tidy Fly-tipping Officer
commented. “The walkway is well used by locals, but the visual
environment is being ruined by those few who persist in fly-tipping.
There is also the added danger of items finding their way on to the rail
track.”
The clean up was organised as part of the
Pride in Our Communities Project, operated by Keep Wales Tidy,
Pembrokeshire County Council and Environment Agency Wales, and
part-funded by the EUs Objective-1 Programme.
