The
Mayor Councillor Paul Weatherall and Lady Mayoress took time out from
a busy schedule with
Mid-Summer Festival Duties to call in at the newly refurbished Red Cross
Charity Shop in St. Governs Centre this morning Tuesday 19th June 2007.
The Mayor meet volunteers and staff. To assist the Mayor
with the ceremony was Linda Weekly who has be at the shop for 17 years,
they cut the pink ribbon to officially open the shop The Mayor and party went on
to check out the goodies available in the new shop. The Regional
manager for Wales and West British Red Cross Retail, Gareth Morgan
explained the British Red Cross had worked with the developers to
improve the shopping experience for their customers and that Pembroke
Dock was one of the first of 20 stores all over the UK to be selected
for refurbishment. The shop manager Andrea Senkal went on to praise
the new look and sent thanks to all the volunteers and customers for all
there hard work and support
The Red Cross
Charity Shop will be open Each Day excluding Sunday's from 0900hrs
to 1600hrs
There are over 340 British Red Cross shops, making us a familiar
sight on many a high street across the UK.
Supported by our wonderful volunteers, staff and customers, all profits
go towards the work of the Red Cross both in the UK and overseas.
