FREE>>>>>>>MEDIA TRAINING COURSE SEEKS NEW RECRUITS

APPLICATION DATE EXTENDED FOR MEDIA COURSE The closing date for applications to take part in Cleddau Community Media’s latest training course hasMarc at Cleddau FM been extended. The free course starting at the end of March will show trainees how to research and produce a digital story. The finished programmes in either audio or video format will be available for download – just like a podcast from the group’s website before the summer. The training scheme will operate from Cleddau Community Media’s new studio complex in Llanreath, Pembroke Dock which has been funded by Llanion Communities First, Communities@One and the Milford Haven Port Authority. Marc Tierney, Programme Co-ordinator said: "We are looking to hear from anyone interested in making a short programme about a subject that matters to them. It can be about your local community, a local event or a local organisation you are part of. "There are several parts to the course which concentrates on the basics and is suitable for all abilities. The course is open to adults from Pembroke Dock and surrounding areas as well as young people from across the county. If you’re interested please get in touch by Tuesday March 18th, as places are limited." Over 10 weeks, the training course will take learners through the principles of storytelling, developing ideas and research techniques as well as programme production, using recording equipment and digital editing software. Mike Odlin, from the Communities First Partnership in Llanion said: "This is a unique course in Pembrokeshire and I would encourage anyone with an interest to get in touch. On each course, the group is split to work in pairs so if you’re a little apprehensive why not ask a friend or colleague to join you."
