Just a minute…. And the Role of Secretary

Taking good minutes at committee meetings are an essential part of running any voluntary group. Minutes are important as they are a legal record of decisions made and actions allocated during any meeting. Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) is running a ‘How to Take Good Minutes and the Role of the Secretary’ workshop on 19th March 2013, from 10am until 1pm at the PAVS office in Haverfordwest.

This workshop, free to voluntary organisations will be useful for new minute takers or for those who want to update their skills and knowledge. By the end of the session participants will fully understand the role of the secretary and minute taker; the legal and practical purpose of minutes and will have explored top tips for writing effective minutes.

This interactive free session will be co- delivered by Anne Isaac and Lara Herde , PAVS officers from  the Enterprising Communities and Collaborative  projects which are funded by the Welsh Government and European Regional Development Fund.

For further information or to reserve a place on this session email development@pavs.org.uk or telephone 01437 769422.
