Volunteering Extravaganza and Information Day in
Pembroke Dock Update
Llanion Communities First would like to say a big thank
you to all organisations and participants in the recent
Pembroke Dock Volunteering Extravaganza, which took
place in the Pater Hall.
Also supported by PAVS, the event had over 25 local and
national organisations offering information and
volunteering opportunities to local people. It was a
busy day, with over 50 members of the public coming
along to see how they could give something back to the
community, and a constant stream of visitors including
county and town councillors.
Caroline White, of PAVS, opened the event by speaking
about the invaluable role that volunteers play in
society, and the huge benefits reaped by both
organisations, and the volunteer themselves.
The organisations reported signing people up, there and
then, and also how valuable the day was in enabling them
to network with each other.
