Volunteer for
coffee and cake!
Special coffee, tea and cakes
can be sampled when the Pembroke Dock Sunderland
Trust opens up its Coffee Shop for a Volunteer
Recruitment open day on Monday, April 8th.
The Trust opened the Glass
House Coffee Shop - in the distinctive glazed room
alongside its headquarters at the Fleet Surgeon’s
House in the Royal Dockyard - last July, and it has
become more and more popular with local people and
visitors.
Now as the Trust gears up for
the spring and summer it is keen to recruit
additional volunteers to run the Coffee Shop.
Kylene Rafferty, of the
Sunderland Trust’s Team, said: “We have a wonderful
team of volunteers who currently run the Coffee Shop
four days a week. We are looking to expand our
opening hours and invite potential volunteers to
come along on the 8th April to sample not
only coffee, tea and cakes but also meet members of
the Glass House Team.
“All we ask of a potential
volunteer is if they can spare three hours on
average per week to help. It’s a unique place, with
visitors from far and near. And our visitors’ book
has some very special praise for the coffee!”
The Volunteer Recruitment Open
Day is from 10 am to 12 Noon and all are welcome.
