Sunderland's Top Coffee Charts
Sunderland flying boats are topping the popularity
charts at Pembroke Dock again - certainly among coffee
devotees.
The Sunderland Trust’s Glass House Coffee Shop reopened
on Tuesday (March 5th) after enforced closure
due to vandalism - and specially served coffee is
proving popular.
Uniquely, cups of cappuccino served there are presented
with a topping of chocolate in the outline of a
Sunderland - the famous aircraft always associated with
Pembroke Dock.
Trust volunteers run the Coffee Shop - at the Fleet
Surgeon’s House by the Dockyard gates - and are adept at
presenting the Sunderland image on cups of fine coffee.
The Glass House Coffee Shop closed after thieves
stripped lead from the roof. Rapid repairs instigated by
the building’s owners, Milford Haven Port Authority,
allowed the Trust to open again in two weeks. Security
measures have also been upgraded.
Currently the Coffee Shop is open Tuesdays to Fridays,
10 am to 4 pm, but will extend its hours for the holiday
season. Potential volunteers for the Coffee Shop Crew
are welcome to drop in to sample the brews - as are
customers old and new.
