RONALDINHO VISITS PENNAR

Visitors to Pennar’s second Annual Fun Day on July 1st may have thought they were suffering from the heat of the sun when they spotted Ronaldinho in amongst the crowd. On a second look they would have seen he was taking place in the annual ‘Dress the Scarecrow’ competition.

Committee Member Carolyn Fortune said “ Ronaldinho was in excellent company this year, other scarecrows to dress included David Beckham, Wayne Rooney Ronaldo and Nick Ainger. This year’s theme was the World Cup, all ages really enjoy dressing the ‘crows up and having a laugh while they’re doing it”

Younger visitors also enjoyed having Cleopatra, Beastly Behaviour’s boa constrictor wrapped around their neck and watching the Punch and Judy show, which was written and performed by young people from Pennar.

The weather was glorious and just under £200 was raised for hall funds, raising money isn’t the main aim of the day though, giving the residents and visitors of Pennar a really good day out is.

The committee would love to hear what other events people from Pennar would like put on, so if you’ve got an idea contact Liz Cook on 01646 621811.
