The outgoing Mayor of Pembroke Dock
Councillor Ron Watts accompanied by the Mayor Elect Councillor Sue
Perkins, joined Assembly Member Christine Gwyther and members of
Pembrokeshire County Council, Pembroke Dock Town Council plus many
special guests of the company to officially open this new builders
merchants here in Pembroke Dock. LBS Builders Merchants a three generation company was formed here in Wales in 1931 has seven other sites this being there eighth and largest. Managing Director Mark Davies spoke of his thanks to everybody who had helped in the development of this prestige project, he thanked especially main contractors P R Jones from Ammerford who he reported came in on time and on budget. He also extended his thanks to Assembly Member Christine Gwyther, representative from both the Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembroke Dock Town Council for there support. Mr Davies also welcomed representatives of Llanelli Scarletts to the event
The site which covers a once derelict two acres on Eastern Avenue Waterloo Pembroke Dock ( just passed Silcox Coaches) is possibly the only builders merchants in the world with a cycle way. So you have no excuse for not popping in to pick up you supplies on your bike! The centre also has a dedicated Bathroom
and Kitchen Showroom's plus all the normal and unusual items for both
the building trade and the do-it-yourself market, LBS is dedicated to
give a professional service to the trade as well as you and me.........
