“Milford Haven Port Authority offer waterway
communities grants for international maritime festival”
Between 18-25 June, Milford
Haven Port Authority will host SeaFair Milford Haven 2008. The event has
been described as ‘a maritime festival for traditional craft and
seafarers’ and has already generated a large amount of interest, both
amongst seafarers and land-based enthusiasts. . Over 140 vessels have
already registered, including several tall ships and traditional and
classic craft. .
Hosted by Milford Haven Port Authority in its 50th, Golden Jubilee year,
SeaFair Milford Haven is an ideal way to promote the waterway and
Pembrokeshire as a whole. From information sharing exercises with
organisers of Brest and the Semaine Du Golfe Festivals in France, it has
been highlighted that the waterway communities are key to welcoming the
flotillas and promoting the diversity of the waterway. .

officials, additional events and facilities such as PR and marketing,
food, entertainment and parking.
Seafair Milford Haven 2008 coincides with the start of Fish Week (June
21– 28) and the two events will complement each other, to ensure that
there are plenty of opportunities County-wide to enjoy food and
entertainment related to the Waterway.

communities by January 31st. Please contact the Community Officer at
